Oystercatchers Eating Shellfish

Oystercatchers at Blackie Spit, White Rock, BC late in January, 2017.

It was cold and the wind was blowing hard at Blackie Spit, White Rock, BC in late January, 2017. Fortunately, I was wearing gloves and a touque and showed up with a tripod. The Oystercatchers kept their eyes on me, and sometimes they were looking skyward, but they stayed and ate all they could.

Most of them were full and just standing around, but a few were happy to keep on eating.

Hope the video is entertaining . . . and I tacked on a couple photos at the end.
